You don’t need us to tell you that the first fragrance from the house of Valentino is going to have to be pretty special. And we’re happy to report that it lives up to expectations. It’s inspired by the idea of a rebellious Italian heiress, as played by Freja in the commercial, above.
The bottle with classic Valentino roses is one of the most beautiful that we have ever seen. Inside, the fragrance is just as luxurious—and has a special surprising twist.
The top notes are Calabrian bergamot
The middle notes are what you would smell when you step off the plane in Rome, as described by the perfumer: Amalfi orange blossom, tuberose, jasmine and wild strawberry.
The base notes are captivating, amber-like woods and cedar.
And that surprise? It’s a touch of white alba truffle in the top notes!
Valentino Valentina fragrance line is available at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdales, Saks, Nordstrom and Valentino boutiques.
