I was stoked when the new the new Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Repair Mask landed on my doorstep yesterday. My skin has been inexplicably dry and flaky this winter despite my religious use of moisturizes and endless refilling of my humidifier. I’ve been at a loss at what to do, so this product seemed to have been invented for me.
I applied the Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Repair Mask to freshly washed skin right before bed time. The instructions say to smooth generously and evenly over your entire face, gently massage until absorbed. I did not use any other serums or moisturizers along with the product. I did not rinse it off in the morning.
I’m happy to report that this morning my skin was noticeably softer and healthier looking. Best of all, my fine lines were less noticeable.
The key ingredients in Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Repair Mask are:
- Hydration. Activated Water/Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water that helps give the mask the oomph to last all night; Trehalose and Sorbitol that prevent dehydration and Sodium Hyaluronate that attract water to the skin and holds it for the plump and smooth look.
- Skin Repair. Murumuru Seed, She and Mango Butter for moisturization to repair the skin’s barrier.
- Calming and Soothing. Caffeine, Bilbasol and anti-oxidants that are anti-inflammatories and prevent free radical damage.
The directions say it’s OK to use this on a daily basis or as needed. I expect I’ll use it two to three nights a week. I imagine it is also pretty amazing after a day skiing or at the beach.
The Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Repair Mask is available on Clinique.com for $32.
