Ask any makeup artist what the secret to a flawless makeup application is and he or she is bound to tell you that it all starts with flawless skin. If your sensitive skin could use a little help in that department, here’s a list of facial skincare products that will help you get a beautiful complexion:
Always wash your face every night. I used to say that I could count on one hand how many nights I’ve skipped washing my face (now that I’m over 30, I probably need two, but you get my point). When I do skip washing my face, I inevitably get a breakout a day or two down the line. I can’t stress how important it is to remove your makeup, sweat and all the grime at the end of the day. If you find that you’re too tired at night to bother, invest in a facial cleansing wipe like Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes. They clean your face and you don’t have to worry about water and suds getting everywhere. I love that these particular wipes are powerful enough to remove eye makeup yet gentle enough they won’t irritate sensitive skin.
Exfoliate at least once a week. Even those of us with sensitive skin benefit from exfoliating, as long as you’re using the right facial skincare products that aren’t too rough on your face, like those from Simple Skincare. The Simple Smoothing Facial Scrub has rice granules to help remove dead skin. Your complexion will be immediately brighter and your moisturizer will penetrate deeper where it can be more effective.
Use a moisturizer with SPF Daily. The final facial skincare product you need in your arsenal is a day cream with an SPF of at least 15. This step will not only help keep your skin hydrated and create a smooth base for your foundation to glide over, the SPF will help prevent future sun damage. One to try is Simple Vital Vitamin Day Cream with SPF 15.
It may sound like a lot if you’re a skincare newbie, but the payoff of glowing, beautiful skin will be well worth it!
