Review: Redken Powder Refresh 01 Dry Shampoo

That's me on the left on a day I definitely needed to wash my hair—or try a different dry shampoo!

I recently saw a photo of myself on day seven of my blowout that made me think I need to stop going so long in between blowouts. I’ll spare the grosser details, but my ends were stringy and my roots were flat and very matte looking. But now I think maybe I was just using the wrong dry shampoo. I recently tested the new Redken Powder Refresh 01 dry shampoo and it has quickly earned its place in my beauty arsenal.

Like other dry shampoos, the Redken Powder Refresh 01 absorbs oil. Unlike many other dry shampoos, it doesn’t leave that tell tale white film. My favorite thing about it is its refreshing, almost minty scent. While my hair doesn’t exactly stink after not being washed, it definitely smells musty after a few days, like a room that needs to be aired out. The Redken Powder Refresh 01 neutralizes any scent and makes my hair smell clean again.
