Last week my just-turned 2-year old son had an ear infection. so that meant I was somehow even more sleep deprived than usual. Time to break out the big guns, and by big guns I mean the Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber De-Tox De-Puffin Eye-Cubes. I had seen these a few weeks back on the Today Show when they won a Self Magazine Beauty Award and had been wanting to give them a try–I’ve long loved Peter Thomas Roth products.
The Eye-Cubes go in your freezer and the coldness makes them feel amazingly good going on. They’re part of his De-Tox Cucumber line and contain cucumbers, arnica, green tea, chamomile, aloe, caffeine and hyaluronic acid. These miracle workers help to de-puff under eyes and flight off dark circles and help with wrinkles and fine lines.
You pop one eye-cube into the tea-bag pouch that it comes with and take turns massaging it under each eye. The combo of the cold and the ingredients is super refreshing and I immediately felt more awake afterward. The results are below.
My one complaint about the product is that it’s quite messy. As the eye-cube melts, it turns into a sticky liquid that drips down your face. I like to think it was helping out the rest of my skin, but I do wish it was neater.
Overall, I would recommend these on days when you need a lift or if you’ve pulled an all nighter, whatever the reason.
Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber De-Tox De-Puffin Eye-Cubes are $50 for a set of 6 and available at peterthomasroth.com and Sephora stores.
