We’re big fans of the Origins GinZing eye moisturizer, so when the new Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer landed on our desk, we couldn’t wait to give it a try. Like the eye cream, it has Caffeine and Panax Ginseng to instantly revive tired skin. The lightweight gel moisturizer also contains a trio of oils that are said to be a wakeup call to both your tired skin and sleepy brain: grapefruit oil is an anti-irritant, spearmint oil encourages energy and lemon oil helps boost your concentration and awareness.
Does it actually work? As a mom to a three week old, I’m the ideal tester these days. I do love the fresh citrusy scent that is energizing as well as soothing. The light moisturizer imparts an instant glow without being too heavy—key on these sweltering days!
My biggest issue with the Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer is that it doesn’t contain SPF, so you’ll need to include a separate one in your regimen. Other than that, I love it!
The new Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer is available for $26.50 for a 1.7 oz. jar at Origins, Sephora and department stores and at Origins.com.
Also in the line—and new to me—is the Origins GinZeng Mascara Illuminator. I’m still not sure what makes it energizing, but the lengthening and lifting formula helps me look awake even when I’m running on fumes. It’s also long-wearing and even stays on through the myriad 10 and 15-minute cat naps I sneak in through the day. It has quickly become a makeup bag staple!
