We picked the Thompson LES for a quick overnight stay last month. Its location around the corner from A Little Wicked made it perfect, not to mention its proximity to the Meatball Shop and Bisou Ciao. (Do youself a favor a pick up a handful of goodies from each of these shops.)
The Thompson LES lived up to the design hype with super styled gathering places, a fun albeit petite rooftop pool, and guest rooms. We appreciated the separate seating area with a pull out couch and the waterfall shower with Kiehl’s toiletries. We wished there were a full length mirror and could have done without the elevator bell that chimed all through the night. If you go, check into FourSquare for free WiFi. We recommend a late dinner at Blue Ribbon Sushi Izakaya that includes the steamed black bass and short ribs. Ours was tasty and substantial enough to stave off a hangover the next day. Grab a table on the balcony of the second floor for breakfast if it’s not too windy. Our egg white omelette was fresh and fast. You’ll love the friendly front desk staff and the adorable stewards.
