Whether you’re headed to Miami next week for Miami Swim or you’re simply looking for an excuse to head down to South Beach, the new SLS Hotel South Beach is the place to check out. The sister hotel to L.A.’s SLS, the Miami branch features a similar vibe and many of the same amenities, most notably The Bazaar Restaurant by José Andrés. (If, like us, you’re not so into foam and what not as your food, check out the hotel’s other restaurant Katsuya by Starck South Beach for sushi.)
The 140 room hotel opened on the site of the former Ritz Plaza Hotel at Collins and 17th Street near the Delano. The rococo rooms, designed by Philippe Starck feature modern touches like iPads with customized South Beach apps. Lenny Kravitz designed the Penthouse suite and a private Bungalow, which he told Travel + Leisure are inspired by “a world traveler who collects a lot of things”.
For poolside lounging, you can’t beat the two pools where you can indulge in manis and pedis. At night, the 8,000 square foot indoor-outdoor space turns into Hyde Beach, which is already a South Beach Hot Spot. We hear the dry ice caipirinhas are the drink to order.
To celebrate the opening, SLS Hotel South Beach is offering a “Start Living Sexy” package available through October 31. Including 15% off the best available rate, complimentary room upgrade, and a complimentary food and beverage experience at Hyde Beach, check out SLSSouthBeach.com, or call 888-606-1595.
