On Our Radar: Clift Hotel’s Golden Gate Party

Clift Hotel in San Francisco is celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge with a three-day 1930’s cocktail party and reception over Memorial Day Weekend. There will be jazz bands, 30’s era movies, and artisan cocktails in the Redwood Room – one of our top lounge picks in the city. They’re also partnering with Streets of San Francisco Bike Tours if you want to brave the Golden Gate on two wheels. We’ve ridden across it ourselves a few times. Watch out for tourists and pack something warm, the temps drop about 20 degrees midway across the bridge.

If you’re from out of town, try to score a room in the Clift. As part of the Morgan’s group, you can expect style, whimsy, and luxury.  Through 2012, Clift is offering a special: rooms starting at $350 that includes a 15% discount on bike tours, two tickets to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, free WI-FI, and complimentary parking.
