Winter getaways aren’t all about black diamonds. For the non-downhill skier/snowboarder, the Lodge at Woodloch in the Poconos is offering a four-night Cabin Fever Remedy retreat beginning on February 28. The events include:
Monday, February 28: Evening Hot Toddy Bar, cocktail hour. Offering a spa twist to the original Hot Toddy, with options such as Chamomile Hot Toddy, Ginger Hot Toddy and Apple Cinnamon Hot Toddy’s made with local honey and herbs grown on property.
Tuesday, February 29: Hiking in the Delaware State Forest, explore frozen marshes and hemlock groves along a 10 mile trail. The 6.5 hour hike includes a hot trailside lunch. That evening, there will be a Moonlight Snowshoe Sojourn.
Wednesday, March 1: Cross Country Skiing in the frosty forest of the Bruce Lake Natural Area. Enjoy a hot trailside lunch along the way.
Thursday, March 2: Snowshoeing at the Varden Conservation Area. Spend a full day discovering one of Pennsylvania’s newest parks…on snowshoes! After a hot lunch, trek through the wintery woods that surround the former homestead (approximately eight miles).
Friday, March 3: Check-out or ski Big Bear
Best of all, the Cabin Fever Remedy is offered to guests at no additional charge! If you decide to stay on and ski Big Bear, discounted lift tickets are available. For more info, check out The Lodge at Woodloch.
