It’s that time of year when we need to start stocking up on heavy duty moisturizers for the winter time. When you head to the drugstore to buy your annual tub of moisturizing cream, why not pick one that gives back to the community? For every purchase of the Special Edition Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream, Cetpahil will donate $1 (up to $100,000) to Camp Wonder, a camp for children with severe and sometimes fatal skin diseases.
The camp was founded by Francesca Tenconi, who had a nearly fatal skin disease that destroyed 85 percent of her skin when she was 11-years old. Instead of lamenting her isolation, Francesca decided she wanted to help other children in similar circumstances. For her Sweet 16 birthday, she asked friends and family members to give donations instead of gifts to start the Children’s Skin Disease Foundation (CSDF). The camp is now free for a week for the children.
The special edition label was designed by a former camper, now counselor at Camp Wonder, Jassamine Domino.
The Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream itself is a good one. It provides long lasting hydration and is good for those with sensitive skin, eczema and psoriasis. The Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream is sold exclusively at CVS.com.
