A few weeks back, we had the chance to be in a room with Beyonce herself to celebrate the launch of her new perfume, Pulse. We were too far back to get a good photo, but we did record what she had to say. Here’s some of the dish on the new fragrance from Beyonce.
“[I called it] Pulse, because it’s the pulse that races before I get on stage. I want women to gets all the men’s pulse racing. I’m most inspired when my pulse is racing because it’s a bit of anxiety and fear. When the pulse is racing, that’s when we grow.”
‘I love being a woman because I can express myself with my fashion.”
“Growing up, my mom had beautiful antique bottles. I want every woman to have her own little sculpture and piece of art.”
Most importantly, we learned that we have to be a lot tougher when it comes to painful footwear. In the commercial, Beyonce wears Louboutins. “The Louboutin had spikes, every time I took a step they would stab me. Every time I hurt myself and I put on a Band Aid, I know the pain pays off.”
The fragrance a mix of the following:
Top Notes: Pear Blossom, Blue Curacao Accord, Frosted Bergamot.
Middle Notes: Bluebird Orchid, Delicate Peony, Midnight Blooming Jasmine.
Base Notes: Madagascar Vanilla Infusion, Intoxicating Musk, Precious Woods.
